New TikTok Views Hack📱

We’ve got some interesting news from TikTok.

Longer Videos Are Being Rewarded ⏳

TikTok has recently been pushing creators to post landscape orientation content over one minute in length. The reason behind this push is to get users to stay on the app for longer and to be more engaged.

Engaged users watching longer videos = more money for TikTok (and you).

What’s even better is that TikTok is offering a free “view booster” to Creativity Program Beta-eligible users who post landscape orientation videos over one minute in length.

Even if you are not eligible for the program I would recommend posting a landscape orientation video over one minute in length, or simply just a video over one minute to see how it performs.

I asked a few creators about posting longer videos and they all said that longer videos tend to perform better on their TikTok account.

What This Means For Creators 🤔

Long-form content platforms statistically pay much better than short-form platforms, so as a creator I would recommend getting signed up for the TikTok Creator Fund if possible, along with their beta feature testing.

Ad revenue on TikTok is nothing to brag about (yet), but it’s better than nothing and a great way to pay for your time making content. Odds are, if TikTok is rolling this feature out as a beta it means that eventually, it will become a large part of content creation on TikTok, meaning that longer videos could soon be the norm.

Key Takeaways 📝

For creators, this is a great step forward in making more ad revenue on TikTok, along with allowing creators to build a more meaningful connection with their audience given the push for longer content lengths.

Quality over quantity is always the way to go with content, and this change within the TikTok algorithm proves my point.

Have a great week ahead!
