TikTok Hack: Creator Search Insights

TikTok recently launched a new feature called “Creator Search Insights” and today I want to show you how to utilize it as a content creator to understand what your audience wants to watch, along with using this tool to source new brand deals.

What Are Creator Search Insights?🔍

Creator Search Insights is an in-app tool on TikTok that is similar to Google Trends, showing you the popularity of search results. In the case of Creator Search Insights, it can be used to predict the virality of a piece of content based on its search popularity.

How To Use This Feature🎯 

There is a step-by-step process to use this new feature correctly, so let’s get into it.

Step one: Accessing the feature

To access the feature go into your TikTok search bar and type “creator search insights” and then click on the first result.

Step two: Using the feature

To use the feature, go into the Creator Search Insights feature and search for whatever niche you are in, for this example, I am going to use “Amazon Reviews.”

So in this example, if you are an Amazon Review TikTok creator you would be able to see that the search result “Amazon Chair” would be the most popular search result for this category.

Step three: Connection

To see optimal results from this feature you will want to add words/hashtags that tell TikTok you are posting about a specific search, you can think of this as search engine optimization (SEO) for TikTok.

For the previous example, you would want to add #Amazon Chair or similar hashtags and include the words “Amazon Chair” in your video.

Note: This feature will work for all major niches on TikTok.

Extra step: Brands

Nobody else is talking about this in regards to the creator search insight tool, but you can actually use it to source brand deals.

For example, if you want to promote a gaming monitor you would search “gaming monitor” in the creator search insights tool and scroll through the top videos to see what brands are sponsoring creators for that specific type of product.
